Art Show @ FUMC Preschool

Joel's school had an art show last night to display some of the art they have done thus far this year. The theme was 'A Bug's life'. The hors d'oeuvres were gummy worms, bug ghram cracker cookies, and more bug snacks. It was fun. Here are a few pics.

The bug take home project. Each child was sent home with 3 small paper plates and asked to make a bug. There were alot of amazing bugs!!

Joel's is the lady bug. We glued felt to the plates and stuffed the bottom plate to make the lady bug puffy. We covered the other plate with felt and used brads to make moveable wings. This was a fun project!

Joel's Polar Bear project.

Joel's proud to be an American project. He is pround to be an American because he can play with Autobots and Transformers. (imagine that)

Joel's class made aliens. His is the one in the middle with 3 legs.

Joel's turkey is the one facing the right.

The entire school's bugs. Each child had a bug with their face on it. The teachers and staff did an amazing show putting it together.

Joel sitting on the pew waiting for us. I had put texture paste in his hair to make it stand up...and he pushed it all back down..except the pieces in the back lol

Spring is here!

Long time no post, so I have some good stuff to share.
Happy St Patrick's Day!

Sunday - Just a few pics before Church

Joel was so cute so I snapped a few quick pics before church.

Christmas Program - Christmas Around the world

Joel's first Christmas Program was last week. He held the stage down in his area...he didn't sing and barely moved. His class was from Hawaii and sang a Hawaiian Christmas song.

Who was the guy from Star Trek that also did Rainbow Reader on LPB...is Joel trying to be him??

For PawPaw.....you always ask for one of me...here is one that his half decent! Go Barry!

Getting our Christmas Tree

This year Joel's class took a field trip to Curry Christmas Tree Farms in Start. Barry went with his class and was impressed with their operation. We decided to get a tree from them this year. It was so fun to pick our tree, play and have some warm cider. This was right after we were at Biedenharn, hense the dress clothes for Joel.

Joel by the pond...there are normally ducks, but it was chilly, so I guess they were all hanging out somewhere else.

Us with our tree just before we tagged it....Dad took the pic...finger in the flash style.. lol

A few pics of the most beautiful sunset I have seen in a long time

And who can resist the barrel train!!

Isn't that the most amazing color ever!

The decorated tree!

How you know that you are tired...

I had made Joel a snack....and he was quiet...I walked into the living room and checked on him...apparently he was tooooo tired to eat.

Coordinating clothes.. :)

After Joel's bath tonight he picked that he wanted to wear his new Thomas PJ's. I thought they were 5 T, so I said ok. When I took them off the hanger I discovered that they were 6T. After he picked his pj's he went to his underwear basket and got Thomas undies so that he would match...since he want thru all the effort of matching, he wore his 6T jammies. They were not too much too big. I can't believe how much he has grown.

Here are a few pics from today.

What I want to be when I grow up..

This last week was community helpers week. The firetruck came to school one day, the police car, boat and motorcycle came another day. A hair dresser, dental hygenist and several other professionals came to Joel's class explaining their jobs. It was really neat. Joel started the week wanting to be helicopter pilot...then he wanted to be a transformer and finally he said he wanted to be a construction worker (think Bob the Builder). So this is what he wore to school on Friday... He also brought his Handy Manny tool set.

Fun in the sun!!

Yesterday afternoon Joel and Harley had a blast with a kiddie pool and a slip-n-slide.
Here are a few pics.

Silly boy!

They ran down the slip and slide....more than sliding. When they did slide it was 'Mommy-propelled'. The kids had a blast running down together. They would then run back and hop in the little purple pool at the end. They were having a blast.

Joel fell while running and actually slid for a few feet.

No time for pictures Mom...I have to GO!

I love this one!

Rufus came too. He is so precious! He was well behaved too.
